A government assigned group of three experts have visited the project site to study the proposed Shiradi Ghat Tunnel.

To provide a seamless connection between Mangaluru and Bengaluru, a new route of road on the SHiradi Ghat stretch between Addahole and Heggadde planned. On this 23 km long stretch, there will be 6 lanes and an emergency lane. 7 Bridges and 6 tunnels are planned. The longest tunnel will be 3km long. Total tunnel length will be 12.6km.
