Korea: The National Railroad Corporation is to expand the use of advanced mechanical excavation (TBM) methods that are actively used in Europe and China
The goal is to increase Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) use in Korea.
"Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, Won Hee -ryong also sent a letter to the chairman of the National Railroad Corporation and the president of the Korea Expressway Corporation, saying, "Please actively promote the application of TBM to the city tunnel construction."" according to Dnews Korea.
