There were 4 participants for the first underground tunneling contract (package DC-06) of phase IV of Delhi Metro Rail project: Afcon Infrastructure Limited, HCCL-VCCL JV, SUCG-STEC JV and Tata Projects Limited. SUCG-STEC JV was dropped because of insufficient technical eligibility.
The DC-06 package of phase IV of Delhi Metro Rail project described as
DC-06: “Design and Construction of Twin Tunnel by Shield TBM, Cut & Cover Tunnel box, Underground ramp and one Underground station namely Krishna Park Extn. with Entry/Exits & Connecting subway by Box pushing method including Architectural Finishing, Water Supply, Sanitary Installation & Drainage works from chainage 805.110mt. to 2830.863mt. (UP Line) & from chainage 788.198 mt. to 2814.745 mt. (DN Line) of Janakpuri West to R.K.Ashram Corridor (Extn. of Line-8) of Phase-IV of Delhi MRTS.
The estimated duration of the work is 36 months.
HCCL-VCCL JV is lowest
According to tender results, the consortium lead by HCC (Hindustan Construction Company Limited) gives the lowest bid (so called L1). The partner in the consortium is Vensar Constructions Company Limited (VCCL).
L1 : HCCL-VCCL JV with bidding amount of Rs 489.00 crores.
L2 : Tata Projects Limited with bidding amount of 495.27 crores.
L3 : Afcon Infrastructures Limited with bidding amount of Rs 643.50 crores.
The bidding values are higher than Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Limited (DMRC)'s estimation of Rs 478.12 crores. Now it all depends on negotiations between the DMRC and the bidding parties.
