On April 16th, Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi watches the breakthrough of Tunnel Boring Machine. The name of tunnel is Martyr Ahmed Hamdy Tunnel. Tunnel goes under the Suez Canal. Tunnel has 4,250 kilometers, with 11 meter diameter with two lanes. It is one of the 5 tunnels. Ahmed Hamdy was an engineer. He was killed during the 1973 war with Israel.
