Special foundation in the tunnel

What do you think about the tunnel foundation ? (pictured below)
Foundation in the tunnel (Special foundation):
Definition of foundation: the set of parts of the structure and the soil in contact with it trough which the load transfer between the structure and the ground takes place is called (foundation)
Type of foundation: 1)shallow foundation 2)deep foundation 3)pier foundation 4) special foundation
we use two types of foundation in the tunnel: 1) shallow foundation for gallery (false tunnel) 2) special foundation, for transfer load to ground in the main tunnel
But what is a special foundation? special foundation transfers the load to the ground through tension, compression and friction force.(for this reason we do not seem and apparently none foundation inside the tunnel)
but in false tunnel, due to the lack the structural contact (consolidations with the land before the activity, like a building first, the foundation must be implemented.
