Chinese are upset with loosing India's Tunnel Boring Machine market. India is most likely the most dynamic tunnelling market in Asia maybe in the World.

Out of despair, Chinese supported media started badmouthing India. They claim Indian engineers could not figure out how to assemble a Chinese-made TBM. Everybody knows that every TBM has its own peculiarities which require experts specific to that particular brand and model to get them assembled. This is true with Robbins, this is true with Herrenknecht. Problem with Chinese-made machines is that they are not as widespread as the western brands, it is extremely difficult to find non-Chinese experts specialized on Chinese TBMs. What is more normal than then having problems with assembling these TBMs with local expertise?

The lesson is we have learned is; do NOT trust the Chinese. Even more important lesson is; STOP FOREIGN DEPENDENCY on key technologies. We have a huge tunnelling market. We will need maybe hundreds of TBMs over the years. Why should we obliged to present our huge potential to Germany's Herrenknecht, USA's Robbins or yet alone to China's manufacturers?

As India, we give them our opportunities, our market and feed their industries, feed their people, help Germans and Americans have better lives. What do we get in return? Lost industrial development at home and when we travel to Germany, USA, we are being humiliated at their customs, at their countries.

IT IS TIME TO START WORKING TO STOP THIS PERVERT SITUATION IN TUNNELLING!
