The construction of tunnels on the Ahmetbeyli-Fuzuli-Shusha road continues in Azerbaijan
According to the Azerbaijan Automobile Roads State Authority, the construction works of the Ahmetbeyli-Fuzuli-Shusha road and the tunnels on the road, which is one of the highway infrastructure projects that will play an important role in the socio-economic development of the Karabakh and East Zengazur economic regions, are continuing rapidly.
The construction of 7 tunnels continues along the Ahmetbeyli-Fuzuli-Şuşa highway, including the tunnel laid in Taşaltı village on 14 June. T1A (3,340 m), T1 (314.9 m), T2 (556.9 m), T3 (680.3 m), T4 (540.6 m), T5 (454.8 m) and T6 (446.3 m).
350 meters of the 3.34 km long T1A has already been excavated. The excavation of the 556.9 meter long T2 tunnel is about to be finished. The age of the 680.3 meter T3 tunnel has begun. In addition, the excavation of the 540.6-meter-long T4 tunnel and the 454.8-meter-long T5 tunnel in the upper half of the left and right lanes have also been completed. 130 meters of progress was achieved in the 446.3-meter-long T6 tunnel.
In addition, the construction works of the 1,335-meter-long tunnel to be built at İsa Bulagi on the Ahmetbeyli-Fuzuli-Şuşa highway have started.
If the tunnel in the direction of İsa Bulagı is counted, the total length of the tunnels under construction is 7,668 meters.
In addition to the tunnel construction on the 81.6 km long Ahmetbeyli-Fuzuli-Şuşa highway, the construction of garbage storage areas at different parts of the road, 9 viaducts, 7 highway bridges, 11 underpasses, and 59 water pipes are continuing.
Construction works are carried out under the management of Azerbaijan Automobile Roads institution, jointly with Azvirt LLC, Kolin Construction Tourism Industry and Trade, Cengiz Construction Industry and Trade.
