TBM Superintendent position available for Auckland's Central Interceptor Project

    The Ghella Abergeldie Joint Venture is seeking an experienced General Superintendent to join the team on the Central Interceptor Project.

    The Central Interceptor is a wastewater tunnel that will run between the Māngere Wastewater Treatment Plant and Grey Lynn. The main tunnel will run underground for 14.7 kilometres. 

    The primary responsibility of this position is to oversee all aspects of the planning, implementation, monitoring and completion of the MTBM works to include daily production, maintenance, and tunnel logistics of tunnel works on the Central Interceptor Project. 

    The successful candidate will have:

    • A current CoC as an A Grade Tunnel Manager
    • 20 years plus underground construction experience
    • Extensive experience in civil construction, including deep structures, shafts and pipejacking
    • Experience applying in-depth knowledge to plan and implement safe and productive operations and procedures.
    • Experience leading people and building capability
    • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
    • Communication that is clear, concise and easily understood both in written and verbal form.
