The new Kerak tunnel on the Kovali-Ulruchi section (Amur Region) on the Trans-Siberian Railway has been excavated. The new double-track tunnel runs parallel to the one constructed in 1910 and it is 926 meters.

General Director - Chairman of the Board of Russian Railways Oleg Belozerov has thanked the builders for excavating the tunnel in just 11 months.
