On September 4, the world's first large-slope tunnel-boring machine built by CRCC rolled off the production line in Changsha, Hunan Province.

This "Beishan No. 1" tunneling machine, with a length of about 100 meters and a diameter of 7.03 meters, will be used in the construction of an underground laboratory in Beishan, Gansu Province. The machine will excavate a spiral curve slope about 7.2 kilometers long underground, with every 10 meters of excavation the working height of the machine will drop 1 meter. With challenges such as hard rocks and large-slope spiral tunneling, the team has provided technical and equipment solutions for the project’s construction, which has helped the project enter into a rapid construction phase.
