We are currently recruiting for a Senior Engineering Technician to join our ambitious and experienced team. We are working on stages as early as feasibility studies up to detailed designs on a wide range of projects. Our clients are from the private and public sector and include long term Framework Agreements with numerous Local Authorities together with Design and Build commissions for many major Contractors. You may have the opportunity to work on some of the most iconic Transportation and Water projects, being part of a diverse and multicultural team for the Europe Global Delivery Center (Poland/Spain).
Key Responsibilities
Performs both routine and non-routine, complex drafting / modeling assignments that require judgment in resolving issues or making recommendations.
Works under limited supervision.
Develops accurate 2D drawings, using different platforms, with special focus on Tunnels & Ground Engineering technical design
Ensures accuracy and quality of drawings and models generated.
Act as CAD Manager, in representation of a EC's team.
Works in coordination with other CAD / BIM resources from different EC offices (Spain, Poland, India, etc.)
Implement CAD and graphic standards, templates for the department.
Trains and oversees the day-to-day activities of other CAD technicians to ensure CAD standards are maintained in the creation of 2D deliverables.
Recognizes and interprets opportunities and risks on Project delivery.
Partners with GDC offices to ensure delivery and execution challenges are understood.
Ability to work within a team and with internal and external stakeholders.
Exceptional interpersonal skills and personal resilience to working to strict timelines/different styles of leadership
Performs quality control of CAD / BIM works accomplished by members of a team, assuming the responsibility
Minimum Requirements:
Experienced Tunnels & Ground Engineering design documentation technical skillset
Experienced collaborating within the wider digital delivery team, with interfacing disciplines and stakeholders
Expert in CAD drafting with any of the following, Autodesk AutoCAD, Civil3D, or Bentley MicroStation
Proficiency in drafting using Autodesk Revit deriving drawings from 3D models will be considered favourable
Experienced using common data environments Autodesk Construction Cloud (BIM360) and Bentley ProjectWise
High level in English (oral and written)
6+ years in civil and infrastructure projects working an engineering technician; in Bridges and Structures design projects
6+ years CAD drafting with any of the following, Autodesk AutoCAD, Civil3D, or Bentley MicroStation - software accreditation will be considered favourable
Previous experience working for Transport Authority clients in the USA and Australia will be considered favourable.
