Innovation Arena: This year's meeting place for entrepreneurs and builders

Nye Veier,, the Norwegian Public Roads Administration and via invites this year's gathering between innovators and builders at Gardemoen on November 15. Innovation and climate -smart solutions for road, bridge and tunnel are the theme of the day.

Registration for this year's innovation arena has now opened. This is the day when companies, builders, contractors, consulting engineers and road managers gather under the same roof to create innovation and climate -smart solutions for roads, bridges and tunnels.

Entrepreneurs and innovators are guaranteed attention that day. And Anne Stine Johnson, head of the technology and professional department in Nye Veier, advises innovation actors to think of the innovation arena as a useful meeting place to move forward with her commercialization. An immediate guidance from the market you are going into is incredibly valuable for an entrepreneur. You get the mood, you get input early, and it happens in a simple way, says Johnson.

    More Way for Money

Nye Veier will build as much way for the money as possible and see great benefits in participating in the innovation arena. "Nye roads live by" more way for the money ", and then we have to play with good powers from entrepreneurs and others who engage in innovation and development," says Johnson.

Johnson believes the meeting place at Gardemoen answers a great need for innovation at the road management and the builder. - It is terribly difficult for entrepreneurs to come up with new ideas due to strict regulations with requirements for test and documentation. We need to break a barrier to cheer new and innovative solutions, says Johnson.

Nye Veier have good experience working with pilots. An example of this is the collaboration with the industrial company Foamrox. Together, Nye Veier and Foamrox have tested new materials in the construction process with the aim of cutting CO₂ emissions. Foamrox's solutions have been used in, for example, tunnels on the E18 Tvedestrand - Arendal section.

Nye Veier recently received NOK 25.8 million from the Ministry of Transport and Communications for investment in emission -free construction site.
