China produce super size main bearing for first time. Main bearing diameter 8.01 meter. It is for use in Tunnel Boring Machine of 16 meter diameter.

CCCC Tianhe Machinery and Equipment Manufacturing Co (CCCC Tianhe), a subsidiary of China Communications Construction Co (CCCC), and the Institute of Metal Research of Chinese Academy of Sciences together produces this main bearing.

This is critical for China produce large size TBM. Super large main bearing only a few companies in world produce. They do not always sell to China TBM manufacturers. This puts China TBM companies disadvantage position against companies of Germany and Japan.
