DL E & C won an order of 'Namhae Seomyeon-Yeosu Sindeok National Construction (hereinafter referred to as Namhae-Yeosu Undersea Tunnel Construction Project)' as a creative design differentiation card called the submarine tunnel. DL E&C, which has successfully constructed Yi Soon Shin Bridge, Korea's longest suspension bridge and the world's longest suspension bridge, Turkiye, Turkiye Bridge, is recognized by the world. Through this order, we have once again proved the spirit of challenge that continues to surpass the technical limitations by differentiation.
DL E&C announced on the 22nd that it has received a notice of selection of final design elimination of the Namhae-Yeosu Undersea Tunnel Construction Project ordered by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. This project is a project to establish a national highway with a total of 8.09km connecting Yeosu Sindeok -dong and Gyeongnam Namhae Seomyeon. The total project cost is 697.4 billion won, which includes the submarine branch tunnel section (5.76km). When completed in 2031, the travel time between Namhae-Yeosu will be greatly reduced from 1 hour and 30 minutes to 10 minutes.
▣ Considering regional balanced development, a branch tunnel proposal by creative design differentiation DL E&C received the highest technical score by proposing a differentiated design plan to connect to the north side of Namhae -gun in addition to the tunnel finals.
The basic plan for this project was the south side of the south side of Seosang -ri, Gyeongnam, which had excellent tourism resources in Sindeok -dong, Yeosu, Jeollanam -do. However, DL E&C proposed a design plan that connects Nam Sang -ri in the northwest of the South Sea with a submarine tunnel to solve the regional economy and balanced development plan at the same time. By combining the quarterly tunnel technology that has accumulated through the construction experience of Singapore Marina Coast Expressway and Shinwol-Yeoui-Yeui Underground Road (Seoul Water Tunnel), both South Sea and the North are connected to Yeosu to enjoy tourism and local economy.
In addition, DL E & C has doubled the tunnel construction film from four to eight. As the end increases, the number of sections that can be constructed at the same time can be reduced by 13 months. The connection also increases the tunnel, which has a doubled effect of evacuation, rescue and performance in case of emergency.
▣ Secure optimal route feasibility and safety by applying smart construction technology Designed by DL E & C, the Namhae-Yeosu Undersea Tunnel is completed with various smart construction technologies. DL E & C created a differentiated design plan through its own BIM (Building Information Modeling) Tunnel Design Package. Using the generated design based on artificial intelligence (AI), the submarine ground conditions were precisely analyzed, and the optimal linearity was explored and the tunnel blasting design was automatically carried out using BIM and geographic information system data. . Through this, we implemented the shortest submarine tunnel construction section of the bids and used the reduced business cost to derive an original design that connects both the south and north of the south and south.
In particular, DL E & C applies the first insulation and fire resistance concrete developed in Korea to improve the refractory performance of the submarine tunnel and to prevent condensation. High -performance concrete, which reduced thermal conductivity by 40% compared to conventional concrete, was applied to maximize the safety of the structure.
In addition, DL E & C proposed the project by proposing a variety of digital technologies to secure safety such as 24 -hour integrated control safety platform, cutting -edge technology convergence smart measurement system, and smart construction equipment.
▣ The domestic and foreign submarine tunnel market has been opened. The industry expects that the submarine tunnel market will expand significantly as the submarine tunnel has secured competitiveness in terms of bridges due to the recent improvement of tunnel construction technology. In fact, in Korea, many projects such as the Boryeong Undersea Tunnel, which opened in 2021, as well as 'Abhae-Hwawon Undersea Tunnel' and 'Pohang-Yeongil Bay Undersea Tunnel'. In the future, opportunities for the Korea-Japan Undersea Tunnel and the Korea-China Undersea Tunnel will be held.
DL E&C is expected to expand orders with overwhelming competitiveness in the domestic and international submarine tunnel market as it proves the design and construction technology that is differentiated by the Namhae-Yeosu Undersea Tunnel order.
Kwon Soo -young, head of DL E&C's civil engineering division, said, “DL E&C will try to contribute to promoting the development of the country and region through different technologies.”
