Job Description
Acting as the Consultant’s representative for a specific package and reports to the Chief Resident Engineer (“CRE”)
Oversee the works package and ensure that the works package is delivered in accordance to the works specification, quality and safety requirements
Responsible for following up on instructions & commitments associated with the project
Reviewing Contractor’s Project Execution Plan, Health & Safety Plan, Quality Control Plan, Method Statements and other documents
Monitors site staff performance
Supervising the execution of all technical aspects of the project
Resolving site issues on site and oversee the early resolution of any technical and resources issues
Assigning responsibility to key subordinates in their respective fields of duties
Providing input to performance reviews for subordinates
Monitoring and reports to the CRE on the progress of all project activities within the program, including significant milestones and any conditions, which would affect project schedule, performance or Client relation
Establishing meetings to review project status and formulate action items
Representing the company in all relevant meetings
Ensure the timely supply of information to the contractors including responses to the queries from the contractors
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including contractor and local authorities to facilitate the construction activities
Adhere and implement AECOM’s Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) requirements, procedures and policies to daily work scope
Oversee and monitor progress of as-built records by the Resident Engineer
Performing other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate
Qualifications
Possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/ Structural Engineering or equivalent;
Minimum 15 years of related senior construction supervision experience (with at least 5 years of experience as RE) on major infrastructure projects, particularly bridges and elevated structures with a broad general engineering background;
Candidates with relevant experience and performing the SRE function in the delivery of large scale transport infrastructure contracts, including the delivery of one project throughout its construction phase is highly preferred;
Must be registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia as Professional Engineer or Graduate Member
In depth technical knowledge of Civil/Structural Engineering works.
