The Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda (Mitma) is preparing to get the Fiscal tunnel road reconditioned.

Mitma formalizes the drafting of the conditioning project for the N-260 between the Balupor and Fiscal tunnel for 867,619 euros

Given the need to incorporate the latest requirements of current regulations, as well as the requirements derived from the Environmental Impact Statement.
Under the previous contract, on June 26, 2023, the layout project was definitively approved along with the public information file.
The estimated budget for the actions is 98.79 million euros (VAT included).

The Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda (Mitma) has formalized, for 867,619.84 euros (VAT included), the services contract for the drafting of the construction project for the conditioning of the N-260 highway, Eje Pirenaico, between kilometer points 449,600 and 463,600 in the section between the Balupor and Fiscal tunnel, in the province of Huesca. The corresponding announcement will soon be published in the Official State Gazette (BOE).

With this action, the layout of a 12.85 kilometer section of the N-260 highway will be improved, respecting the environmental values of the environment, enhancing the level of service and improving road safety.

Under the previous contract, on June 26, 2023, the layout project was definitively approved along with the public information file. Once this file is approved, the drafting of the construction project continues, within the framework of the contract that is now being formalized and which has been necessary to incorporate the latest requirements of current regulations, as well as those derived from the Environmental Impact Declaration.

Technical characteristics

The length of the main trunk of the section object of the project, according to its geometric definition, is 12.85 km, and a tunnel 1,790 m long (Jánovas Tunnel), 2 viaducts (Barranco de las Guargas Viaduct of 235, 50 m and Barranco de Santiago Viaduct of 175.00 m), 6 bridges, 4 concrete walls and 5 breakwater walls.

A section with 3.50 m lanes (1 lane in each direction) and 1.00 m shoulders is also adopted. In addition, in this section, 4 roundabout-type intersections are planned and the creation of roads parallel to the layout to restore access to the neighboring properties.

The estimated budget for the actions is 98.79 million euros (VAT included).
