Kreate Sverige AB, the Swedish branch of Kreate (headquartered in Finland) has signed an agreement worth over EUR 6 million with Norwegian AFLAGNNING AB, which includes the implementation of the interior cladding structures of the two ramp tunnel in Stockholm. In addition, the agreement includes an option of approximately EUR 7 million on the construction of two other ramp tunnels.

Kreate Sverige AB has signed an agreement worth over EUR 6 million with Norwegian AFLAGNNING AB, which includes the implementation of the interior cladding structures of the two ramp tunnel in Stockholm. Kreate Sverigi has experience in decorating the Stockholm bypass tunnels since 2019.

Market prospects for Krete's expertise in rock and concrete construction in the Suur-Tukholm and Gothenburg areas have continued their favorable development. Stockholm's bypass, Förbifart Stockholm E4, is constructed in stages and aims to create opportunities for the development of a rapidly growing area. In order to protect environmental and cultural values, about 18 kilometers of a 21-kilometer road will be built in a tunnel.

In accordance with the agreement with AFlägging AB, Kreate implements the interior cladding structures of the Lovö Ramp Tunnels of the Lovö Lovö Ramp Tunnels, which is part of the Stockholm Overrun construction. The option is also to implement the interior design of ramp tunnels 312 and 314.

    - The winning job proves that we are number one in the area's tunnels. Our knowledgeable and committed staff installs a large interior and thus ensures that the main contractor is scheduled. We have experience in decorating the Stockholm bypass tunnels since 2019, which has helped us overcome another big job, says Veli Taatila, CEO of Kreate Sverige Ab.

In Lovö's contract, Kreate drills and bolt two ramp tunnel ceilings and element wall mounting bolts, installs a membrane roof, reinforces it, and install element walls. In the contract, the masses are large: 39,000 mounting bolts are installed, 26,700 m2 of element walls, 5,800 m3 of spray concreting and 47,900 m2 of more rare in Finland.

    - In Finland, there is often drainage of tunnels, but in Sweden, membrane is used for a similar purpose. It is a kind of membrane that is installed between the rock and the injection concreting after the tunnel is mined. The membrane is reinforced and injected with concrete and covers the entire tunnel profile as waterproofing, says Taatila.

The contract also includes founding and civil engineering and closing the work tunnels with concrete and steel structures. The agreement is worth 70 million Sweden, or more than EUR 6 million, and includes SEK 80 million, or approximately EUR 7 million. Work will begin in April and will be completed by March 2025, and after a possible option, the work will continue until the end of 2025.
