Two contractors competed for the last major contract E02 Kvitsøy on Rogfast. The contract is an execution contract corresponding to the two previous major contracts, with pre -qualification and negotiation, as well as the maintenance of external environment and greenhouse gas emissions.

The winner is the one with the lowest competition sum:

JV Implenia Norge AS/ Stangeland Maskin AS: Competition sum: NOK 5 975 874 452

Skanska Norge AS: Competition sum: NOK 6 155 398 695

The contractors who competed were deducted from their offer sums based on the following award criteria; Organization and key personnel, implementation of the assignment and progress.

NCC Norge AS chose to withdraw from the competition after prequalification.

    - The two remaining providers at Rogfast E02 have done a good job in preparing the offers. There is high quality of all of the material submitted, and there have been good and constructive negotiations. I am very pleased with the process associated with the procurement, says project manager Oddvar Kaarmo.

    - We look forward to a good collaboration with JV Implenia Norge AS/ Stangeland Maskin AS throughout the contract period which is scheduled to last until 2030. It is a large, challenging and complex assignment that the contractor has good plans and prerequisites for implementing, says project manager for E39 Rogfast at Kvitsøy, Sveinung Bruder.

The contract with the company JV Implenia Norge AS / Stangeland Maskin AS is scheduled to be signed on June 11, 2024.

The work at Kvitsøy starts after the summer holidays and continues where the previous contract ended about 230 meters below the sea surface. The Kvitsøytunnel is completed down to the first roundabout with asphalt in 3500 meters length.

E02 The contract from Kvitsøy will eventually meet both the E03 contract built by JV Implenia Norge AS/ Stangeland Maskin AS from the south from Randaberg municipality, and the E04 contract built by Skanska Norge AS from the north from Bokn municipality.

The contract is a two -run tunnel with a cross -section of 10.5 meters, and will be built both to the south and north from Kvitsøy, and includes, among other things, the complicated top -lane intersection inside the mountain with the ramps towards Kvitsøy.

The contract includes about 8.8 km of two -run tunnel. Two vertical ventilation shafts will also be built which are approximately 230 meters deep and 8.6 meters and 9.4 meters in diameter. These together with several ventilation tunnels, use air out one shaft and fresh air into the other shaft. The contract also includes 17 technical buildings, 154 emergency stations, 38 transverse connections between the races, five pumping stations and more.

About 1.6 kilometers of road will also be built in the day, pedestrian and bicycle paths, and a bridge of about 20 meters. About two million stone cubic meters from the tunnel will be filled in two sea fills and the largest sea filling turns into commercial area on Kvitsøy.
