The Statens vegvesen (Norwegian Public Roads Administration) has approved four players for the competition to build the new E6 between Megården and Sommerset in Sørfold municipality.
The four who are invited to make offers for the job are in alphabetical order
- For us as the client, it is very reassuring to have four solid players in the tender. They all have the experience and expertise needed to carry out such a large and demanding development. That's what project manager in the Salten project, Steinar Livik, says in the Norwegian Public Roads Administration.
An actor has been rejected
An applicant has been rejected according to the FOA. § 24-2 (3) as a result of projects in Denmark where collective agreements have not been respected, and where the applicant has been the main contractor. The company has the opportunity to appeal the rejection and has been given an appeal deadline of 15.08.24.
- We work actively to ensure that employees at our facilities have orderly wages and working conditions that comply with the Norwegian Working Environment Act and the Norwegian Contracts Act. Therefore, all companies that wish to participate in our tenders must expect to be thoroughly checked and assessed before they are approved or possibly rejected. That's what Kjell Inge Davik, director of development at Statens vegvesen, says.
