The machine will come to Poland in December. Among other things, thanks to her, the railway line between Nowy Sącz and Limanowa will be conducted in a new trail, which will allow the trains to accelerate and shorten the journey. Investment of PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe S.A. For over PLN 1.9 billion, net is financed as part of the National Plan of Reconstruction and Increase Rest.
Modernization of the 104 railway line on the Klęczany - Limanowa section is progressing. In Męcina and Mordarka, cranes, bulldozers and excavators prepare places where they will start and finish new railway tunnels. The excavations between these two towns will hollow huge TBM discs. The larger one will work on the construction of a proper tunnel, which in 2027 will go trains. The smaller one will realize the evacuation tunnel.

Thanks to this investment, the railway will become an unrivaled means of transport in the south of Lesser Poland - says Piotr Malepszak, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Infrastructure.
The first to work will work a smaller machine, which in September underwent the necessary tests and acceptance at the factory in Chinese Changsha. Then it was demolished and prepared for transport. The load consists of 36 parts weighing about 600 tons. The largest of them weighs 87 tons, and the so -called The cutting head is 4.8 meters in diameter and weighs 41 tons. The sea journey to Poland from the port of Shanghai will take about 60 days. In mid -December, the machine was unloaded in one of the Baltic ports. The rest of the trip to Męcina will take place in 30 trucks. Currently, contractors are completing the reconciliation of the machine transport route with road managers. For security reasons, logistics details will not be made public. After arriving at the place, the tunnel will be submitted and will be able to start work. Another (much larger) machine is currently being prepared for transport in China. It will appear in Poland at the turn of February and March.

Modernization of railway line No. 104 (Chabówka-Nowy Sącz) is part of the Podłęże-Piekiełko project, the largest rail investment in southern Poland. Currently, construction works are pending on four fragments of this project (Limanowa, Limanowa - Kneel Limanowa Station - Kneel Single, Kneel Sinner - Nowy Sącz, Chabka - Rabka Zaryte). In Nowy Sącz, Limanowa, Marcinkowice and Rabka-Zdrój, contractors are building new bridges, viaducts, stations and stops. The investment, in addition to the modernization and electrification of 75 km of the Chabówka - Nowy Sącz route, will also cover the construction of 58 km of the new line, connecting Podłęże with Tymbark and Mszana Dolna. Thanks to this, a new railway line will be created, which will connect Krakow with Podhale and Sądecczyzna. The fastest trains will go through the Krakow route - Nowy Sącz in about 60 minutes. However, a journey from the capital of Lesser Poland to Zakopane will take about 90 minutes. The project is financed as part of the National Plan of Reconstruction and Increased immunity.
