Romania: Contractor announced for the Highway A8 section with 7 short tunnels
CNAIR designated the winner of the contract for the design and construction of the Pipirig - Vânatori Neamț (Leghin) highway sector, part of A8!
Monday, 20.01.2025, following the completion of the process of evaluation of the tenders, CNAIR communicated the result of the procedure for awarding the contract “Design and execution of the Târgu Mureș - Târgu Neamț Highway: Section II: Miercurea Nirajului - Leghin, km 22+000 - km 181 +195: Lot 2C: Pipirig - Vânatori Neamț (Leghin) ”.
The designated bidder is his association & on Construct S.R.L. (leader) - Spedition Lam S.R.L. - Technostrade S.R.L. - Euro-Asfalt D.O.O., with the price of 2,690.665.509.04 lei excluding VAT.
The duration of design and execution of the contract is 48 months, of which 12 months for design and 36 months for the execution of the works.
The length of this section of highway is 19.3 km, of which about 1.44 km of tunnel. For this sector, 7 tunnels (5 two -way and unidirectional) were designed, characterized as follows:
- T59, two bidirectional tunnel with a length of 490 m near the town of Pîțîligeni;
- T60, unidirectional tunnel on Calea 1 with a length of 90 m located near the town of Pîțîligeni;
- T61 bidirectional tunnel with a length of 70 m located near the localities Pîțîligeni-Stînca;
- T62, two-way tunnel with a length of 130 m located near the localities Pîțîligeni-Stînca;
- T63, unidirectional tunnel on Calea 1 with a length of 80 m located near the localities Pîțîligeni-Stînca;
- T64, two bidirectional tunnel located near Stînca;
- T65, two bidirectional tunnel located near the town of Stînca.
The signing of the public procurement contract will be possible after the expiration of the period of submission of possible appeals and respectively after the settlement/complaints formulated in the award procedure.
