The Tunnel Boring Machine machine that is running the tunnel Mackenna with Av. Brazil, in Renca, in north to south, arriving at the end of January near the intersection of Av. Rolando Petersen with Costanera Sur, in the same commune.

On the advances of the project, the president of the board of Santiago Metro, Guillermo Muñoz, commented that “it is an important milestone to have completed the first month of this year with the fulfillment of the first kilometer of line 7 executed by the tunnel machine. One more step for this megaproject that already has 24% progress globally and 9 kilometers of excavated tunnels in total, on different work fronts from terminal to terminal. All these progress reinforce the commitment we have with the neighbors of the communes that will benefit from this new layout and go in tune with our purpose of bringing people to live a better city, in the prelude to the celebration of our 50 years in September ”.
