The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility is carrying out the modernization of the tunnels of Gedo, Somaconcha, Lantueno, Las Caldas, Riocorvo and Pedredo of the A-67 motorway, all of them in Cantabria, which have an overall investment of more than 31 million euros (VAT included) financed by the Plan for Recovery, Transformation and Resilience (PRTR).

Included in those modernizations,  work is also performed in the fire protection network in the tube of the Riocorvo tunnel, in the direction of Palencia, located between km 176 and 172 of the A-67.
