Hi, Why do you think TBM tunnelling is safer for workers?- Absolutely right. TBM tunnelling is one of the techniques but it is not the only tunnelling technique. It is not one size fits all solution.
Drill & Blast tunnelling is far more harmful to the workers' lungs compared to the TBM tunnelling.- Sorry I replied at the wrong place. I repeat here: You are right. Cost is not the only reason why you may want to go for non-TBM tunnelling. As you have pointed out there are some other important considerations in favour of conventional tunnelling.

Hi RL I have used in two TBM in India and its really great, you can even have teh TBM OP to digitally fill in the OP Report...ur daily reports needed to monitor the TBM performance and in the event...ng of the TBM and its system. Yes some TBM has this, but it cost dearly...- Hi Pedro, 3000Tag for one TBM should be sufficient. It is naturally coming with support and License and site installation to clients specs. I have used it my self on two TBM and it is really great.
