National Grid awards a six-year £400m contract to Hochtief-Murphy Joint Venture (HMJV) to deliver the tunnelling and shaft work of the second phase of its London Power Tunnels (LPT2) project.

Transport for London (TfL) has finally signed the design, build, finance, operate and maintain contract for the £1bn Silvertown road tunnel project with the RiverLinx consortium which comprises Australian bank Macquarie Capital, Spanish infrastructure operator Cintra, Britain's Aberdeen Standard Investments, South Korean contractor SK E&C and Dutch group BAM PPP PGGM (which is itself a joint venture between Royal BAM Group and Dutch pension fund administrator PGGM).
