Kolkata's East-West Metro authorities have revised the alignment of the tracks passing through Bowbazar and almost doubled the distance between the two tunnels for burrowing safely through the perilous cave-in zone. The gap between the first tunnel -boring machine (TBM), Chundee, and its twin Urvi is being widened from 4 metres to 7 metres.
