Very interesting because it is done in hurry. It is proof it was not planned.
So something changed with project. What can it be?
I don't know but this is interesting:
"Toprakkale-garden, covered Nurdağ-Mills-Gaziantep-Mustafayavuz Railway Project Nurdağ-Mills sector,
İnteresting because it says Nurdağı. They are building a 2 tube 10km long tunnel under Nurdağ mountain with 2 TBMs. I hear from colleagues boring goes very bad there. Very difficult geology.
Maybe they give up tunnel boring after spending millions?
Anybody know? Bu konuda bilgisi olan arkadaşlar varsa, yazarlarsa sevinirim.
What sort of TBMs were used? Hard Rock?
Local governor visit Gaziantep Nurdağı railway tunnel. It is longest railway tunnel in Türkiye. 10 kilometer long (news say 9950 meter). Two parallel tunnel tube. Total 20 kilometer.
News say only 600 meter before end. Maybe for one tube. But other tube I heard one tube is in very late. Very slow progress.

it is possible. Information comes from friends that it is in major fault area also regularly collapses on TBM wall also from sides and TBMs are not moving. very difficult digging and project very late one company left construction in Nurdag. Two different companies for every tunnel.
