According to a local French press `Le Creusot`, French workers of Mühlhauser NFM are not happy because their salaries are not paid. French TBM company NFM was acquired by German tunneling company Mühlhauser short time ago. Afterwards Mühlhauser went into troubles declaring bankruptcy. Later parts of Mühlhauser put on market for sale. Some months ago, again not paid for salaries, NFM Technologies workers had gone to temporary strike. This time there is no strike yet.
In fact, NFM Technologies is not the name of the company anymore. It is now called Tunneling Equipements. Owner is still the same. The bankrupted Mühlhauser.
Workers say to thenewspaper:
"The wages for the month of January have not been paid and we don't know if it will be paid". According to the newspaper `Le Creusot`, workers are tired not because of work but because of stress.
The workers do not work, because there is no work. No tunneling machine ordered and there is no expected orders. Ilhan Korkmaz, representative of the CGT union says "Even the metal sheets taken, as well as equipment". A new appointment at the Commercial Court is scheduled for the end of the month.
Currently there are 55 employees at the company, down from 80. 29 of the 55 people are at the Creusot site, the rest in Lyon.
