The Police-Święta tunnel will be longer. Design and ground survey work budget increased

 

The Police-Święta tunnel is part of 54 kilometer western Szczecin bypass along the S6 expressway. The original tunnel length was set as 3.5 kilometers in 2018 for environmental reasons. That length is now increased to 5 kilometers. 

inzynieria.com writes that the tunnel will start just after the Police junction in the area of ​​the intersection of Piotra and Pawła and Kuźnicka streets at the Chemical Plant in Police. It will be proceed under industrial infrastructure, a railway line, voivodship road No. 114 and the Odra River, ending in the vicinity of the town of Święta.

For this change in length an additional PLN 10million is given for design and ground survey work, bringing total design and ground survey budget to PLN 24.6 million.

The Police-Święta tunnel will be bored at a depth of 8-10 m. After the completion of the crossing, the Police-Goleniów route will be 40 kilometer shorter.

After the completion of the design and survey work, a tender will be announced for finding a contractor for construction.
