Brenner base tunnel construction has been suspended also on the Austrian side. This is what Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB) boss Andreas Matthä tells the Vienna newspaper "Kurier". He says "The only construction site that we will actually have to shut down is the Brenner base tunnel, because there are official orders on the Italian side and stricter restrictions on the Tyrolean side. We will certainly be behind schedule there..".  The Italian side was earlier suspended.
