In a milestone for METRONET's Forrestfield-Airport Link project, TBM Grace broke through the Bayswater dive structure, marking the end of her 8-km journey.
Sandy the TBM too, breaksthrough in Bayswater dive structure. Sandy is ahead of original estimate of May. This marks the end of boring for the Forrestfield-Airport Link, part of the Metronet project in Western Australia.
Boring of the 16 kilometres of tunnels, 8 in direction,under the Swan river and the Perth Airport took around 900 days and completed with 9000 rings.
The team has literally bored through the coronavirus days.
