Melbourne Metro Rail adds two more Tunnel Boring Machines
Two more tunnel boring machines working on the Metro Tunnel project in Melbourne are now in the ground. Millie and Alice join the first two other TBMs Joan and Meg in boring Melbourne's Metro Rail tunnels.

Millie the TBM – named after Victoria’s first female MP Millie Peacock – bores the first 1.7 kilometre tunnel between Anzac Station and the Metro Tunnel’s eastern entrance at South Yarra.
The 4th TBM Alice is on the ground but not expected to start boring until a few weeks.
