Yes the China-Laos tunnel boring is completed. But at what cost? Reportedly waterways are full of tunneling chemicals. It will effect the livelihood of people and more directly their health.

Tunneling does not have to be at a such a high cost of environment.

Hi Loi, I know that almost every tunnel construction uses some chemicals. Also in the USA. My point is, in some tunneling applications, there seems to be no concern for environment in anyway. I think the China-Laos Railway tunnel is an unfortunate example of it.
