The very same contractors, Spanish-owned CPB Contractors and Chinese-owned John Holland apparently now accuse Transurban for stalling an agreement. Both companies had wanted to get out of the contract only a few months ago showing the excavation and handling of the polluted soil.
Speaking at the Supreme Court hearing of the case brought out by Transurban for getting an injunction, the lawyers of the contractors now claim that their attempts to resolve the case via arbitration has been disregarded by Transurban.
Transurban on their part, had been for a long time pretended as if the dispute was between the government and the contractors and only got the ownership of the dispute after government warnings.
