Stonehenge Tunnel gets approval
Despite earlier rumours for cancellation, the Stonehenge A303 tunnel is approved. Rishi Sunak, the Chancellor commits to £2bn plan to divert traffic under World Heritage site.

Final decision for A303 near Stonehenge has been postponed to 17 July 2020.
Note that the decision for the Stonehenge tunnel has already been taken. This is for the dualling of the connecting A303.
Government Internet site says: The Secretary of State received the examining authority’s report on the A303 Amesbury to Berwick Down Development Consent Order application on 2 January 2020 and the current deadline for a decision was 2 April 2020. The deadline is now extended to 17 July 2020
