Qatar: TBM reaches 50% of the tunnel in boring 10-km long outfall tunnel
Ashghal (Qatar Public Works Authority) completed 50% boring of the Outfall tunnel off the Mesaimeer Pumping Station. 10 kilometer tunnel is longest outfall tunnel in the world.
The tunnel will convey treated surface and storm water of Doha 10km off the coast.
