Melamchi Water Supply Project, the biggest water project of Nepal. Tunnels to bring Melamchi water to Kathmandu to solve the drinking water problem in Kathmandu Valley. Project has support of Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the other with the financial support of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

Italian company Cooperativa Muratori e Cementisti di Ravenna CMC started project. Because of problems contract cancelled in January 2019. And now Chinese company Sinohydro Corporation Limited chosen to do work. Because of coronavirus Chinese company did not start yet. Italian company left materials cement iron open and not protected, They became useless. Now Italian company want payment for this wasted materials from Nepal.
