İn İzmir Fahrettin Altay - Narlıdere subway line excavation the second tube has reached Dokuz Eylül Üniversitesi station (9 September University station 9 September is liberation day of İzmir from Greek invasion).

The first tube had already reached 9 Eylül Üniversitesi Station on 20 January 2020. First two stations of Narlıdere and Çağdaş had already been reached before for both tubes.

Tunnelling expert company Gülermak builds Fahrettin Altay - Narlıdere subway tunnel. It is 7,2 kilometres long double tube subway tunnel. It has 7 stations: Balçova, Çağdaş, Dokuz Eylül Üniversitesi Hastanesi, Güzel Sanatlar Fakültesi, Narlıdere, Şehitlik and Kaymakamlık.

Tunnel Construction started exactly 2 years 1 month ago in June 2018. Total excavated length reached 4 kilometres 70 metres.
