Fruškogorski Corridor with longest tunnel in Serbia in waiting to be signed with Chinese company
Fruškogorski corridor will link Corridor 10 and Corridor 4 and will create the shortest link between Bosnia and Romania. It will have also a 3.5-kilometer-long two-pipe tunnel through Fruška gora on the Novi Sad Ruma road.
A project was prepared and in an agreement would be signed with Chinese company CRBC (China Road and Bridge Corporation). Last year a memorandum of understanding (MOU) was signed between ministry and CRBC. But no real contract signed. Deadlines came and went. Authorities answer the questions of press as "the project is currently in the phase of drafting project-technical documentation and talks regarding the conclusion of a commercial contract." Some people oppose all project given to one company (CRBC). They say if it is divided and done in phases it will cost than current estimage of 600 million euros.
