Kolkata's West Bengal Housing Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited(A Govt. of West Bengal Undertaking) floated a tender for Underground Utility Tunnel(s) under the New Town's central business district  to accommodate all the utilities including power cables, raw water supply pipelines, OFC communication, treated water supply pipelines, fire hydrant water pipeline, etc. 

Most likely the tunnels will be bored ones as cut and cover is not preferred.
