Günther Oettinger is a German politician from the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) political party. He has been also involved in European politics. He has been the European Commissioner for Budget and Human Resources from 2017 to 2019, for Digital Economy and Society from 2014 to 2016 and Energy from 2010 to 2014..
