President of Argentina wants to re-vitalize the binational Agua Negra Tunnel
According to Chile media, Alberto Fernández, the president of Argentina has indicated his intention to resume talks with his Chilean counterpart for revitalizing the Agua Negra Tunnel project between the two countries. Chile is not very enthusiastic about the project. Reportedly tunnel was one of the subjects that the Argentinian president talked in a meeting with Governor Sergio Uñac of the province of San Juan.
Agua Negra Tunnel is an important part of the much larger Bioceanic Corridor project.
In Coquimbo, more support comes for the Agua Negra Tunnel
Agua Negra Corporation members gave a new sign of support for the Agua Negra Tunnel and affirmed that the work must be accelerated for the 14 kilometer long tunnel between Argentina and Chile.
Chile side is not so enthusiastic over the Agua Negra tunnel. Not yet anyway.
