Norwegian Association for Rock Blasting Technology (NFF) make their traditional statistics announcement on the Rock Blasting Day. There is an article in Norwegian construction magazine Byggeindustrien over this.
According to NFF figures, more than 4,3 million m3 of earth/rock has been excavated from tunnel and underground space activities in Norway in 2020. 2 million m3 of this is from road tunnels.
Compared to 2019, this corresponds to more than 10% increase (in 2019 it was reported as 3,881 million m3). The record was in 2017 with 7,8 million m3 due to Follobane project. NFF expects that the figure will increase from 2021 onwards.

In general; Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) excavation in on the rise in Norway, mainly because of hydro-power tunnel excavation. According to the statistics, there is a stable increase of tunnels excavated with TBMs in Norway. In 2020, it was 5,5km compared to last year's 4,4km. (Yes, it was much higher when Follobane (Follo line) was being bored, but it was a momentary peak). This is still a decent increase in conservative circles of Norwegian tunnelling who are generally in love with blasting.
According to the article, the total kilometers of tunnels excavated this year is 72,2km compared to 74,5 km last year.
Also for 2020, Skanska is the largest tunnel and underground space builder in Norway followed by AF Anlegg, Hæhre Entreprenør and LNS as the second, third and the fourth places.

Tunnelaktiviteten øker i 2020
www.bygg.noEtter to år med betydelig nedgang, har tunnelaktiviteten tatt seg noe opp i 2020. Men årets uttak fra norske tunnel- og bergromprosjekter ligger fortsatt 45 prosent under toppåret 2017.
