Acciona begins assembly of TBM for São Paulo Metro Line 6
Spanish company Acciona build the tunnels of São Paulo Metro Line 6 (Orange Line). First of the two tunnel boring machines is being assembled. They are imported from China.
The first TBM will excavate the tunnels (9505m) between Marginal Tietê and São Joaquim. It has been lowered to the shaft. The second TBM will bore shorter tunnel (5225m) towards Morro Grande. It will work in more clay ground.
