In the South-West Administrative District, the TBM "Natalia" is completing boring from the "Zyuzino" station to the "Vorontsovskaya" station of the Big Circle Metro Line. By the end of this year, it is planned to complete the construction of Vorontsovskaya [station], which is located in the Obruchevsky district.

According to the press service of the Moscow Urban Development and Construction Complex, excavation is being carried out in conditions of complex hydrogeology and dense urban development.

“The section of the Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya metro line from the Novye Cheryomushki station to Belyaevo is temporarily closed due to the construction of the Vorontsovskaya station on the Big Circle Metro Line. This is due to the fact that now under the orange branch the shield "Natalia" is completing its boring. There are just a couple of tens of meters left to the finish line, ”the message says.

The tunnel route passes under Sevastopolsky Avenue, the Kotlovka River, Profsoyuznaya Street and the operating Kaluzhskaya metro station of the Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya line. The tunnel boring mechanized complex (TBM) is laying the left running tunnel 2.1 km long. The diameter of the shield is six meters.

Recall that the interiors of the station will be made similar to the cabin of a spaceship. The suspended 3D ceiling will be assembled from a variety of aluminum plates and neon lights to give passengers a sense of continuous movement - it will be a kind of stream, reminiscent of the Milky Way. The color scheme of the station will be dominated by gray, black and orange. The floor will be made of gray granite, the walls will be made of metal cassettes, and the columns will be clad in marble.

The Vorontsovskaya station is a part of the southern section of the BCL of the metro from the Prospekt Vernadskogo station to the Kakhovskaya station. Its construction began in April 2017.

The future Vorontsovskaya BCL station is located at the intersection of ul. Trade union with Starokaluzhskoe highway. It will be a transfer to the Kaluzhskaya station of the Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya metro line.

In total, four stations will appear in the Obruchevsky district in the coming years. These are two BCL stations and two stations of the line that will go to Troitsk.
