Works Preparation Engineer

Do you want to participate in the development of the construction methods of the tunnel elements and production facilities?
DESCRIPTION OF THE TASKS
Under the responsibility of the Works Preparation Manager:
Develops methods of construction of the Production facilities and tunnel elements, in coordination with the execution team
Develops site installation drawings and phasing with assistance of technical draftmen/women
Defines best technical solutions for safe, fast and cost effective construction
Ensures coordination of the methods with the Temporary Works and Permanent Works Design teams
Follow up the progress of the methods studies developed internally or by external consultants
Organises the third-party check when required
Acts as a Temporary works coordinator when requested according to the WP&Execution GMP
Implements the Safety in Design process in the development of the methods
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
B.S. Civil/ Structural Engineering or Architectural Engineering
Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering projects, in Works Preparation phase and execution phase
Technical skills must be at the level in which assignments can be independently executed with minimal guidance or training.
Fluent in English and spoken as well as written
PERSONAL QUALITIES
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow
Ability to manage junior engineers and team of draftmen/women
Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
Ability to effectively communicate both orally and written at all organizational levels, proper reporting to the management
Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
Creative, flexible, and innovative team player
Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees.
