Because of Covid-19, Phase 2A (passing through the HI Roundabout to Kota Station) of MRT project is delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This is written in CNBC in Indonesia news channel.

It is written that delay was announced by the Managing Director William Sabandar. He said the Japanese company Shimizu-Adhi Karya JV (SAJV) is ready and will hopefully start the work (2.8 kilometers two tunnels) for package CP201 in June while it should have started in March.

Coronavirus not only effected the current package but also the tender process of CP203 package (Mangga Besar-Kota).

Project plan of Jakarta MRT consists of phase 2A and 2B. Subject Phase 2A is 6 kilometers long with 7 stations. This phase in turn divided into work packages. CP200, CP201 and CP202, CP203 and additionally packages for rail systems CP205 and for rolling stock CP206.

For now, the whole Phase 2A is delayed into March 2025.
