HS2 minister admits contractors have never assessed Wendover mined tunnel option

The DfT's dedicated minister for HS2 Andrew Stephenson has confirmed that High Speed 2 (HS2) contractors have never conducted a formal assessment of an alternative proposal to build a mined tunnel in Wendover, nor have they ever been asked to.
