Environmentalists in Denmark take their fight to taking their fight to the European Union to stop the construction of an artificial island in Copenhagen which was greenlit by Danish lawmakers on Friday, according to Euronews.

The plans to build an artificial island called Lynetteholmen to the east of Copenhagen includes tunnels to connect the island to the rest of the city. One is a 10-11 kilometer long immersed road tunnel under Øresund. The new 4-lane road tunnel would connect Nordhavnen with the new island of Lynetteholmen and Amage.
