The Bata tunnel, will connect Bârzava and Săvârșin on a 603-meter route is 60% complete. The railway tunnel goes 27 metres under ground and 603 meters long. It will be ready for traffic of trains as fast as 150km/hr at the end of 2022. 

It costs 76 million lei and money comes from the European Union.
